A meeting took place between AGSI and 24/7 Front Line Service Alliance members (Wednesday 17th October) to consider the announcement by the Government on allowances and possible future action on this issue.
All members of this Group (SIPTU; INMO; POA; GRA; PNA; AGSI) will continue to meet and prepare a strategy to protect against further attacks on our allowances.
Some of the members of the Group also hold membership of ICTU and the Public Services Committee of that organisation, and will reiterate our concerns at that forum.
It may be necessary that members will be required to support on-the-ground action at some stage in the future and all members will be expected to show solidarity in their support for any action which would ensure your pay is maintained.
